Used wine bottles can be recycled in lots of ways. My favorite is to melt them flat in my kiln and add a cheese spreader. This makes a funky cheese tray for entertaining guests. I slump (melt) emptied and cleaned wine bottles in my kiln. Then, I use wire, beads and hot glue to create a spreader holder at the bottle neck end, and add beads to the spreader.
